"I don't have time."

You're right. And yet, you have time for a million other things in your life. Do you have time for coffee or tea? Keep a little pad of paper nearby. Draw some squiggles or a quick Zentangle.

Do you ever stand-in line at the supermarket or at the bus stop. Keep a little notebook with you and do a quick sketch. Keep in mind that you are just doing it for fun. Whatever you draw is fine.

The point of this is that imagining bringing art into our lives has to be a time-sapper is approaching this in a less-than-helpful way. If you bring a sense of play and curiosity to it, it is not a burden. It's fun! See how many bad sketches you can make. Try to fill an entire little notebook in a month. A notebook costs about $1. A pencil costs less than that, and you probably have one laying around the house. A ball-point pen as well. "Yes, but I don't know what to draw."

What do you see around you? Your shoes, a bird (better be quick with this one!), your coffee cup. Here in Nagoya, when you go to a kissaten (coffee shop), they usually serve a little packet of something like peanuts, a cookie, or some flavorful crackers with your coffee. Draw the package. Draw the peanuts. Who cares if the cookie looks like a flat tire? Who cares if no one else could tell that you are sketching a peanut?
